Winter Update

I hope you are all keeping warm! Winter is upon us. I can’t believe it, only yesterday it seemed like I was getting ready for my solo show. The winter months have been busy so I thought I’d send you all a little update about what’s happening!

I have picked my favouite oil, watercolour and gouache paintings that are full of energy and are all very uplifting.

THE ROYAL INSTITUTE OF OIL PAINTERS - Annual Exhibition

The Annual Exhibition of the ROI opened next week. I am thrilled to have three paintings in the show.

In addition to the usual excellent works from a host of amazing Member artists, this year’s theme is “EAT”. I was excited to be able to include one of my market scenes, painted en plein air at the Saturday Food Market at the top of the King’s Road in Chelsea. Perfect for the theme ‘Eat’!

The show is now available now online here and can be browsed and purchased before the show opens.

Click on each of the paintings below to see my paintings in more detail and also to hear me introduce them.

ROI Silent Auction for the Artists’ General Benevolent Institution - AGBI

I was very pleased to donate one of my works for the Silent Auction at the ROI. Painted in high Summer on the South Bank in London on a vibrant day looking across the Thames at the flags and boats. It was so wonderful to paint en plein air with all the street performers and music around.

To bid on my painting and other amazing works in the auction click here.

The AGBI provides financial support to visual artists and their dependents in need who live in England, Wales or Northern Ireland and who cannot work or earn due to injury or illness.

You can make a valuable contribution to this important cause and also potentially own an original artwork by submitting a bid.

Once again, the RWS is running its Mini Picture Show in conjunction with the Royal Society of Painter-Printmakers at the Bankside Gallery. The show is sure to include a wonderful array of high quality artwork. Only small works are allowed, so these are ideal stocking-fillers at a great price!

I have two plein en plein air works of beautiful tree studies in the Autumn, and two works focusing on painting from observation by candlelight.

They are gorgeous works and you can buy ‘off the wall’ and take them home with you there and then!
